View treatmentAbout our skin and hair service
Skin and hair conditions are visible, persistent and often frustrating to treat with shop-bought products alone. Our range covers prescription treatments for acne and rosacea, steroid and emollient therapy for eczema flare-ups, antifungal treatment for athlete's foot, jock itch and fungal nail infections, and clinically established treatments for hair loss.
Because a prescriber needs to see what they're treating, most skin consultations ask for one or two clear photos taken in good light; they're stored securely and viewed only by the clinicians reviewing your case. Skin treatments usually take several weeks to show their full effect, so the pharmacist will explain what to expect and when to check back if things aren't improving.
Good results usually depend on using a treatment consistently and as directed, so each order comes with clear instructions on how much to apply, how often and for how long, along with advice on gentle skincare that won't undo the benefit. Any rash that spreads quickly, blisters, is painful, or comes with a fever should be seen in person rather than photographed, and a mole that has changed in size, shape or colour always needs a GP or dermatologist rather than an online consultation.
