How our team looks after you
Every prescription request is assessed by a named pharmacist prescriber who has your full consultation in front of them, and any decision to decline or change a treatment is explained to you in writing. Our superintendent pharmacist is personally accountable for the standards of the whole service, in exactly the same way as at a high-street chemist.
Our medical advisers are GMC-registered doctors who help shape the protocols our pharmacists follow and offer a second opinion on complex cases. Anything that falls outside what can be safely treated online is referred back to your GP or to NHS 111, and in an emergency we will always direct you to 999.
Registrations are checked against the public registers, and everyone with access to patient information works to the same confidentiality and data-protection standards you would expect in any NHS setting.
Prescribing decisions are audited regularly, and the team meets to review anything unusual, whether that is a pattern of declined requests, feedback from a patient or a change in national guidance. If you'd like to know who reviewed your consultation, the name and registration number of the clinician responsible are shown in your account, and you can ask to speak to them through our secure messaging service.
