About our women's health service

Our women's health range covers the everyday needs that can be awkward to raise across a busy counter: choosing or switching contraception, emergency contraception, delaying a period for a holiday or event, and treating thrush, bacterial vaginosis and other infections that keep coming back. Each consultation asks only what a prescriber genuinely needs to know, such as your blood pressure for combined contraception, so the pharmacist can recommend the safest option rather than simply repeating what you had before.

Some symptoms need to be seen in person. Unexplained bleeding, pelvic pain, a possible pregnancy with pain, or a first episode of a new infection are all reasons we'll ask you to see your GP or a sexual health clinic instead, and we'll always say so plainly rather than leave you guessing.
