Overview
Hirsutism is a condition where women develop excess hair growth in areas where men typically grow hair, such as the face, chest, and back. It is often caused by higher levels of androgens or increased sensitivity to these hormones.
Understanding Hirsutism
This happens due to elevated levels of androgens (male hormones) or increased sensitivity to these hormones. In some cases, hirsutism may be linked to underlying health conditions such as polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS), Cushing's syndrome, or adrenal disorders.
Treatment & Prevention
The right approach depends on the underlying cause, severity, and personal preference. Treatment options include: Vaniqa cream: reduces facial hair growth and makes existing hair finer and lighter.
