| Treatment | How you take it | How it works | From |
|---|---|---|---|
| Mounjaro (tirzepatide) | Weekly injection. One injection a week with a pre-filled pen, any time of day. | Acts on two gut-hormone receptors (GIP and GLP-1) that regulate appetite, so you feel full sooner and stay full for longer. The dose steps up over several months. | from £142.70 |
| Wegovy pen (semaglutide) | Weekly injection. One injection a week with a pre-filled pen, any time of day. | A GLP-1 receptor agonist: it mimics a natural gut hormone to reduce appetite and slow stomach emptying. The dose steps up over several months. | from £98.99 |
| Saxenda (liraglutide) | Daily injection. One injection a day with a pre-filled pen. | A GLP-1 receptor agonist taken daily rather than weekly, reducing appetite; the dose steps up over the first weeks. | from £135.99 |
| Foundayo (orforglipron) | Tablet. One tablet a day, at any time, with or without food. Swallow it whole. | A small-molecule GLP-1 receptor agonist that acts on appetite regulation, helping you feel fuller and reducing hunger. The dose increases no more often than every 30 days. | from £83.99 |
| Wegovy pill (semaglutide) | Tablet. One tablet a day, taken on an empty stomach, for people who prefer not to inject. | The same GLP-1 medicine as the Wegovy pen in tablet form, reducing appetite and slowing stomach emptying. | from £119.99 |
| Mysimba (naltrexone and bupropion) | Tablet. Prolonged-release tablets, built up to two tablets twice a day over four weeks. | Works on the appetite and reward centres of the brain rather than the gut, helping to reduce hunger and food cravings. | from £95.99 |
| Xenical (orlistat 120 mg) | Capsule with meals. One capsule with each main meal that contains fat. | A lipase inhibitor: it stops roughly a third of the fat in a meal being absorbed, so it passes through undigested. Works in the gut, not on appetite. | from £44.99 |
| Orlistat (orlistat 120 mg (generic)) | Capsule with meals. One capsule with each main meal that contains fat. | The generic version of Xenical: the same lipase inhibitor at the same strength, blocking part of the dietary fat from being absorbed. | from £26.24 |
"From" prices are the lowest current price for each treatment, usually the starting dose, shown before delivery. Every option includes the online consultation and prescriber review.
Eligibility
Weight loss treatments are prescribed based on medical necessity — typically a BMI of 30 or above, or 27 or above alongside a weight-related condition. Check your eligibility before you start, and see our FAQ for common questions about the programme.
How prescribing works
- Tell us about you. Complete a short medical questionnaire online in minutes. It's secure and confidential.
- Clinician review. A UK-registered pharmacist reviews your answers to ensure the treatment is safe and suitable for you.
- Discreet delivery. Receive your treatment fast in unbranded packaging, delivered straight to your door.
Our pharmacy team supports you throughout your programme — and you can read practical advice on nutrition, movement and everyday wellbeing in our health guides.
Support from real people, at hours you can rely on
The same UK pharmacy team stands behind every treatment we supply. Here is how to reach us, and how quickly we get back to you.
- Call the pharmacy team. 0115 990 1203 (Mon–Fri, 9am–6pm)
- Email us. hello@medihealthdirect.com (We reply within one working day)
- Secure messages in your account. Message the clinical team about your treatment from your account; replies come from a pharmacist or prescriber, not a call centre. (Encrypted · replies within one working day)
- Ask Maya on the website. Instant answers on treatments, prices and how the service works from our website assistant, including while you fill in a consultation. (Available any time, day or night)
For urgent medical concerns contact NHS 111 or, in an emergency, call 999.
Before you choose
Whichever option you select, the same clinical checks and support sit behind it. Here is what to expect from the programme as a whole.
- A prescriber makes the final call. Selecting an option here starts a consultation; it does not guarantee a prescription. A pharmacist prescriber reviews your questionnaire, BMI and medical history and will suggest a different option, or none at all, if that is the safer choice for you.
- Doses start low and step up gradually. These medicines are introduced at a starter dose and increased in stages over several months. Moving up too quickly is the most common cause of nausea and other side effects, so your plan follows the licensed schedule and we check in with you before each step.
- Monthly check-ins keep treatment on track. On a monthly plan you record your weight and how you are getting on before your next supply is approved, and one-off reorders begin with a short re-check. If you raise a concern, a clinician reviews it personally rather than a renewal going ahead automatically.
- Medication works alongside lifestyle changes. These treatments are licensed for use together with a reduced-calorie diet and increased activity, not instead of them. Your programme includes practical coaching and resources to help those changes stick after treatment ends.
- Delivered cold, in plain packaging. Injectable pens are temperature-sensitive, so they are shipped in insulated, tracked packaging that keeps them within range in transit. If a pen ever arrives damaged or fails to work, our faulty pen policy explains exactly what we will do.
